This fascinating book first published in 1919 by the The Girl’s Own Paper and Woman’s Magazine, London shows a wide range of crochet techniques with naturalistic designs. It was part of a 'Home Art Series' edited by Flora Klickmann, who was also the Editor of 'The Girl's Own Paper and Woman's Magazine'. The 'Home Art Series' of books covered needlework, crochet and knitting, with this book featuring 'crochet for household furnishings', 'insertions, laces and corners' and 'a few things for personal wear'. This book contains practical information on crochet patterns and techniques illustrated with black and white photographs. It has a board cover and is bound in pale blue with dark blue titles and Art Nouveau decorations on the front cover and a Fry's Cocoa advert on the back. It measures 9ins/23cms x 5.5ins/14cms and has 114 pages.
