Description

Group not associated with the Guild

I will share my story of how a lifelong love of knitting and crochet unexpectedly led me to the television series Game of Wool.

In this keynote talk, we will take a light‑hearted look behind the scenes of the competition — from inventive challenges to memorable moments in the yarn barn — and reflect on what the experience taught me as a maker.

Finally, I’d like to highlight the vital work of the Knitting & Crochet Guild and its value to me as someone with a deep interest in growing my skills, history and vintage.

The session concludes with a 20‑minute Q&A.

I grew up on a farm near Glasgow and work as an Executive Assistant at a ferry company.

I have been crafting from a young age, and developed a passion that led me to compete on Channel 4’s ‘The Game of Wool’ in 2025, reaching the final of the competition.
