Dr Mia Hobbs and Dr Paula Redmond are both Clinical Psychologists who love knitting and are passionate about its therapeutic benefits. They founded Creative Restoration to share their expertise in the psychology of using knitting to benefit our well-being through courses, webinars and workshops.

Mia works as a psychologist in private practice in West London where she integrates knitting into her therapeutic work with children and young people.  Mia is also the host of the ‘Why I Knit’ podcast where she interviews knitters about why they knit and how knitting benefits their mental health.

Paula worked as a psychologist in older adult mental health services before setting up an independent practice to focus on preventing and treating burnout and vicarious trauma, particularly with health professionals.

She is passionate about supporting those who sacrifice so much of themselves to care for others. She believes that key to this are compassion, connection and creativity.

She also hosts the ‘When Work Hurts‘ podcast – interviewing clinicians and thought leaders in healthcare about the mental health crisis facing health professionals.
