About the leader

I bought my first knitting machine when I was expecting my son, who is in his fifties! Later, I had a knitwear business for 12 years before returning to being a primary school teacher.
I am a founder member and Chairman of Long Buckby Machine Knitters and enjoy trying out new techniques for our meetings, especially knitweave, plating and felting.
I was actively involved in the Guild of Machine Knitters, organising and attending various shows.
I also enjoy crochet, dressmaking and hand-knitting.
I run the Northamptonshire branch of Knitting & Crochet Guild in my local village.

Pat’s sample bandana (in the photo) took under 100g of 4 ply yarn. Pat is currently working on a mid-gauge version of her pattern which will be suitable for the LK150.
Pat needs to know which knitting machine you are bringing so that she can check that her plan for the workshop will work for your machine.. Please let the convention team know at convention2026@kcguild.org.uk.
Additional material
Pat will provide the pattern, and also bring some oddments of cashmere that knit up well on a standard gauge machine.
