Knit 1, Pearl 1 – Knit In – 12 September 2026
12 September @ 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

Can you knit? Or never tried? In the past knitting was an invaluable skill to make affordable clothes. The C&TA invite you to celebrate/learn this great skill. Beginner or expert? Bring your own or learn how to knit, materials supplied! Guild members from Norfolk will be there and will be keen to help you learn to knit or crochet and answer any questions you have about the crafts.
K1, P1… The Costume & Textile Association, based in Norwich, works to celebrate the great textile heritage that has helped to build our fine city, it is all based on wool.
Join them at this fun Knit-in at the Norwich Millenium Library for experts and beginners alike. Drop in any time between 10am and 3pm. Bring along your knitting, meet fellow knitters and share your knowledge. Or if you don’t know how to knit come and have a go. Learn how cast on, work basic stitches and cast off, needles and wool supplied. Age 6 to 96, all are welcome.
And yes, we know that the stitch is spelled Purl!
This event is part of the national Heritage Open Days.
