Sheep is our membership management system. It is provided by a company called Advantage Digital, who specialise in membership management. We thought it was a happy coincidence that it is called Sheep.
We use the system (as do a lot of other membership organisations) to manage memberships, and it automates much of the process for us. For example, renewal reminder emails are sent automatically, and memberships are renewed when payment is made.
You need an email address to use Sheep to manage your own membership. If you don’t have one, you will have to join by post and updates to your membership will be made by the membership team for you. Sheep also provides your login to our website: it asks your permission to share your membership information, but all it sends across is your email address and the fact that you are a member. |
Sheep stores your information securely. You access your own information using the Sheep app, and you can only see your own details. The membership team has access to the whole set of Guild information held in the database.
Because we use Sheep, you can:
- View and change much of your own information.
- Manage your membership – renew, pay invoices.
- Specify your interests so we know what you want to hear about.
- Donate to the Guild using the Sheep app (the way you login to Sheep).

NOTE: You cannot log in to your Sheep account from the security page (the Sign In option there is for administrators). To log in to your account, you must use the the Knitting & Crochet Guild login page.
