Nalbinding for Beginners Workshop – 11 February 2024

Join Katie for a fun and interactive adult workshop on nalbinding – the ancient craft of creating textiles using a single needle. Whether you’re a complete novice or have some experience, this event is perfect for anyone interested in learning this unique technique.

During this hands-on session, you’ll learn the basics techniques of nalbinding, including Oslo stitch and how to make a warm woollen hat. Our expert instructor Katie Sawyer will guide you through the process, ensuring you gain the skills needed to create your own beautiful nalbound items. You’ll also learn the fascinating history of nalbinding and why ancient textiles are so precious and rare.

Don’t worry if you’ve never tried nalbinding before, this workshop is designed for beginners. All materials will be provided, including a handmade wooden needle and 2 balls of 100% sheep’s wool in white.
