The Stitch Festival is in London and covers contemporary dressmaking, sewing and stitch.
Bringing your Instagram feed to life, this show offers access to some of your favourite independent brands and small businesses, a series of inspiring displays from leading designers, plus catwalk shows, demos and Q&As from your favourite sewing celebs AND hundreds of workshops!
Shop for fabric, patterns, kits, tools, haberdashery, sewing machines, yarn and embroidery supplies and enter our annual Dressmaking Competition. It’s a joyful day out for anyone who enjoys a little creativity with a needle and thread (or yarn!).
Background
The Stitch Festival was launched in February 2020 at the Business Design Centre by Upper Street Events (part of Immediate Media).
Previously known as The Spring Knitting & Stitching Show which took place at Olympia, London (the Spring version of The K&S Show in Alexandra Palace) The Stitch Festival was introduced to offer something a little different for the modern maker.
The Stitch Festival takes place in the heart of Islington, one of London’s most vibrant and diverse areas. It serves the sewing community as well as those interested in crochet, knitting, cross stitch, embroidery and other contemporary crafts.
The Stitch Festival celebrates dressmaking in particular with an emphasis on independent pattern brands and fabric designers, as well as an annual Dressmaking Competition with six different categories. But it’s not just dressmaking! You’ll find yourself surrounded by colour and creativity with everything from crochet and embroidery to macrame and cross stitch. It’s a delightful day out for creative people!
