Unisex Fair Isle slipover and waistcoat.
A pattern leaflet published in 1978, and popular both then and now.
There are two waistcoats (items 1997.022.0004 and 1997.022.0005) and a slipover (2012.000.0009) knitted to this pattern in the Guild collection.
Fiona was a wool and Orlon (acrylic) blend of DK weight. The slipover has a patterned back, while the back of the waistcoat is knitted in single rib in one colour. The back and front of the slipover are knitted separately, flat – many knitters might prefer to knit in the round, with steeks at the armholes and neck.
