First edition of The Universal Knitting Book, published in 1890.
The first edition of the handbook published by John Paton & Son, which was republished several times until the 1920s (when it was superseded by Patons & Baldwins’ Woolcraft). There is considerable overlap with the 4th edition of 1913, but many differences too. It has been split here into four parts.
