Bath Branch – Creative knitting with Clare Griffel – 11 Jan 2025

This is the January 2025 meeting of our Bath Branch;.
Start the new year with a fun knitting adventure. Clare will bring needles, yarn and stitch patterns – from which you will choose with your eyes closed! You’ll then knit a small sample with your chosen items. Then we repeat – a bit like speed-dating!
Clare has tried and tested this method with other groups who have discovered some really nice effects from seemingly unlikely combinations, so come along and get out of your knitting comfort zone!
What you need to bring: Pencil and paper to note down any pattern/yarn/needle combination which you like, plus an open mind (and any bits of yarn you’d like to get rid of – they can all go in the bag).
What skills and knowledge you need to have beforehand: casting on and off, knit, purl. K2tog and yarnover would be helpful too. If you pick a pattern which looks scary, no problem – you can just put it back and pick another one.
