Sanquhar Knitting Panel – 16 August 2026

This August, the Center for Knitting and Crochet (CKC) will honour the 10th Anniversary of CKC’s inaugural exhibition, Sanquhar Gloves: A Living Scottish Tradition, by hosting an online panel discussion entitled Sanquhar Knitting: Then and Now featuring co-curators and experts in Sanquhar knitting, Beth Brown-Reinsel and Angharad Thomas. With Beth and Angharad, we will reflect on the history of Sanquhar knitting, the making of the exhibition, and how preserving access to regional craft traditions online will serve to deepen appreciation for these crafts now and in the future.
