Summary: Knitting a multi-shade shawl involves creatively blending colour, pattern and texture to create a unique design. Join Emma to explore designing and knitting shawls with stripes, fades and gradients.
Description

The Multi-Shade Shawl Workshop will include:
- a short talk about using stripes, fades and gradients in shawl projects
- a discussion about techniques for colour blending
- the option to create a yarn wrap for project planning and/ or knit a small swatch to test stripe ideas
Participants should bring at least 2 – 3 or more shades of yarn for the yarn wraps and appropriate knitting needles if they wish to knit a small swatch.
Emma will bring shawl samples showing a wide variety of stripes, fades and gradients and card with double sided tape for the yarn wraps.
