Crochet necklaces with Louise – 13 Jan 2024
13 January @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
We’ll turn our attention to some delicate crochet for this session. Louise will lead us through a pattern that she has enjoyed, to make lovely leafy garlands. This pattern has masses of creative potential for necklaces, trims and home decor, with endless possibilities depending on the yarn and colour you choose. It’s a free pattern on Ravelry for a large garland, which Louise has adapted to make a necklace.
The pattern uses slip stitch, chain, double crochet, half treble and treble crochet, so it will give you practice in all of these stitches.
Louise recommends Scheepjes Sweet Treat two-ply yarn with either a 1.25mm or 1.5mm crochet hook. There’s a huge range of beautiful colours available try your local yarn shop, or online. (Wool Warehouse have it for £1.75 for a 25g ball), which would make a few necklaces – or a very long one to wrap round lots of times, which sounds lovely! By all means, use an alternative yarn.

Please bring a copy of the pattern (either print it or download it to your mobile device), along with your chosen yarn and a hook in the relevant size for the yarn.
