Spring sparkle: knit or crochet a bracelet with beads and wire – 14 March 2026
14 March @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Taking inspiration from a session at the Convention, we will have a go at using fine craft wire to make a beaded bracelet. We will provide the beads and wire for you, along with workshop handouts.
This will be a self-led session, with Armelle supervising the knitters and Anna supervising the crocheters.
The wire is very fine and bendy so it isn’t hard on your fingers. We have been testing it!
What you need to know before this session:
Knitters: basic knitting knowledge.
Crocheters: slip knot, chains, double crochet, working in rows with a turning chain. How to follow a basic chart.
What to bring:
- Either knitting needles 4mm; or crochet hooks in small sizes e.g. 2mm, 3mm, 4mm.
- You might want to bring a selection so you can swap size if necessary.
- Paper and pencil.
- Either a small saucer or a piece of felt/fabric/tea towel to put your beads on so they don’t roll away.
- Stitch markers.
- Tape measure.
- Scissors.
- Tapestry needle.
- Knitters only: a small amount of waste yarn.
This session is rescheduled from November 2025.
