The team at Britannia Mill were delighted to welcome our patron Jane Crowfoot and a Stitchtopia tour party to the Collection on Thursday 26th June 2025.
The party was split into two groups for tours in our paper store (books and publications) and the “deep store” for our textile items, tools and gadgets, shade cards and yarn samples.
Jane had designed a colourwork mitt for her workshops as part of the tour so we gathered Fair Isle items from our Coats/Patons donation, examples of stranded knitting made from patterns designed by Kaffe Fassett and Patricia Roberts and intarsia from Sasha Kagan, Brenda Shapeero and Jean Moss amongst many other items for a trunk show. Wearing white gloves everyone was able to examine the items and all were thoroughly impressed with what we had to show.
